New Delhi, October 10, 2025:
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2025, held on September 14, 2025. A total of 9,085 candidates have qualified for the next stage of the selection process-the Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews conducted by the Ministry of Defence.

The successful candidates will now be considered for admission to prestigious defence academies, including:

  • Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun - 161st (DE) Course, commencing July 2026

  • Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala - Course commencing July 2026

  • Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad - Pre-Flying Training Course [220 F(P)], commencing July 2026

  • Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai (SSC Men, 124th Course) - commencing October 2026

  • Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai (SSC Women, 124th Course) - commencing October 2026

The candidature of all shortlisted candidates remains provisional until verification of original documents such as proof of age, educational qualifications, and NCC certificates. Candidates must submit their certificates to the respective service headquarters within the stipulated deadlines-May 13, 2026 (AFA), July 1, 2026 (IMA & INA), and October 1, 2026 (OTA).

UPSC has also instructed Army first-choice candidates (IMA/OTA) to register on the official recruitment portal www.joinindianarmy.nic.in to receive further information regarding their SSB interviews. Navy and Air Force candidates have been directed to contact their respective headquarters.

For queries, UPSC has provided a Facilitation Counter at its New Delhi campus and helpline numbers. Additionally, information regarding the result can be accessed at the Commission's official website www.upsc.gov.in.

The marksheets of candidates will be uploaded on the UPSC website within 15 days of the final OTA result and will remain accessible for 30 days.

This examination continues to be one of the most sought-after entry routes for young aspirants aiming to join the Indian Armed Forces as commissioned officers.
